During my wife Jeanine's Christmas break, we planned a trip with a group of friends to spend a night at an obscure castle located in the middle of nowhere Kaduna. Kajuru Castle, in the village of Kajuru in Kaduna state, was built on top of a rock by an eccentric German man in the 1980s. It's quite a sight to drive up to this German castle surrounded by Nigerian villages.
We spent a full 24 hours with the castle to ourselves, wining and dining, swimming and sauna-ing, surrounded by medieval architecture, peacocks, and a dragon (well, a crocodile). We were in a castle, and my queen was there with me, so how could I not whip out my camera and snap a few shots of her? And here are the results.
